Comey edits revealed: Remarks on Clinton probe were watered down, documents show

Recently discharged records acquired by Fox News uncover that then-FBI Director James Comey’s draft proclamation on the Hillary Clinton email test was altered various circumstances previously his open declaration, in ways that appeared to dilute the department’s discoveries impressively.

Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., executive of the Senate Homeland Security Committee, sent a letter to the FBI on Thursday that demonstrates the different alters to Comey’s profoundly investigated proclamation.

Clinton probe were watered down

“While the exact dates of the alters and characters of the editors are not clear from the archives, the alters seem to change the tone and substance of Director Comey’s announcement in no less than three regards,” Johnson composed Thursday.

Fox News has affirmed that one of those authorities, Peter Strzok, a previous representative to the partner chief for counterintelligence at the FBI, was the individual who changed the dialect from “terribly careless” “to a great degree reckless.”
